What is SEO PowerSuite?
SEO Powersuite is an all-in-one SEO toolset to help you complete tasks that will improve your organic search visibility.
As a “suite,” it has four main tools that you can use to optimize your website and build backlinks to it.
Below are the four SEO Powersuite tools included if you purchase it. Click on the tool’s name for more information. At the bottom of each description are links to the product page where you can purchase each. Keep in mind that buying each is much more expensive compared to buying SEO Powersuite which contains all for tools. We will discuss this later in the Pricing section of the review.
This feature is where you can analyze your site for SEO opportunities as it performs things that most website auditing tools do.
By auditing your site for common SEO issues and warnings, you can fix them and make your site easier to crawl by search spiders.
If you want to drill down the issues on a page level, you can do that too.
This tool is SEO PowerSuite’s keyword rank tracking and research tool.
You can enter as many terms as you want to track for your site and get your rankings data as frequently as you want. Aside from manually gathering keyword rankings, you can schedule the software to automatically check your website’s rankings.
However, don’t let the name of the tool fool you – you can also research for keyword ideas and suggestions to optimize for your site. You can extract search phrases using the traditional or competitor-based approach. Regardless, you can be sure to find keywords with the highest search volume and lowest competition to optimize with your website!
Also, you can generate reports using the information from the tool and send them to clients. This way, you update them with progress of your SEO campaign.
SEO Spyglass Tool
Links are very important if you want to sustain your website’s ranking on top of organic search. For this purpose, SEO Spyglass comes in very handy.
You can check your site’s link profile and determine which ones are your best backlinks and which ones you should disavow because they’re doing more harm than good to your rankings.
You can also compare your backlinks with competitors and see which ones they have that you don’t. This way, you can try and acquire the same link so you can be on their level in search rankings, if not better!
You can also generate backlink reports using the tool. Send these to clients to show them the links you’ve earned while working with them.
Arguably the best way to do link building is via outreach. Sending personalized emails to your target prospects helps you build authentic relationships with them. This way, asking for a backlink is much easier because trust is forged in the process.
With LinkAssistant, you can do all these things.
From Link Assistant, you can set up your outreach goal and find website owners to reach out to using your target keywords. The tool will also take care of finding their correct email addresses so you can send your emails to the right people.
After sending them emails using email templates you can edit, track the progress of your campaign. Keep reaching out to them until you secure a link.
Once your campaign is done, you can send reports to clients to show them how your campaign performed.
How to Use SEO Powersuite
To fully understand how SEO Powersuite works, below are SEO tasks you can do using the four tools in it.
In this part of the article, I will only share with you how I personally use the tool for completing SEO tasks. I’m not into link building, so I can’t extensively show you most of its link building efforts.
Also, I will not go in depth with LinkAssistant. I will explain why once you get deeper in the article.
That said, let’s proceed!
Conduct SEO audit
Before developing an SEO campaign for your site or client’s, you must analyze the website first using the Website Auditor, which is one of the better website auditing tools in the market.
What it does is finding SEO issues after performing an SEO analysis on your site or client’s.
Open the software and click “New” from the menu to create a new project. Enter the URL of your site then click “Finish.”
Website Auditor will crawl your site for all its pages and analyze each using different factors. Depending on the size of your website, this could take minutes or hours.
Now, the tool is divided into four features. But for the purpose of auditing your site, we will only focus on Site Structure and Content Analysis.
Under Site Structure, there are four factors:
The Site Audit shows you the different issues and warnings in your website pages.
The goal is to minimize – if not eliminate – all errors and warning that show here. This way, you make your site much easier to crawl and improve your search ranking performance.
Once you made the changes according to the tool, click “Rebuild project.” The tool will again crawl your page so you can update the project with hopefully fewer errors and warnings. Keep doing this until you’ve fully reduced the issues to its barest minimum.
The Visualization allows you to see the internal linking structure of your website.
The bigger the dots, the more internal links it has. And if you click on any of the pages, it reveals to you its click depth, internal link count, and outbound links.
This is a great feature that shows you which pages link to which. Considering the importance of internal links and how you can sculpt how PageRank flows from within your site, this feature will immensely improve your website architecture.
Another equally useful feature under website audit is Pages. It shows you the crawled pages by the tool and the different factors that affect its crawlability and potential ranking.
You can customize the tab to show the factors you want to analyze for each page.
Finally, the All Resources feature shows you all files found on your website. This is a good feature to understand your site’s loading speed.
Optimize pages for their keywords
From the audit, you must turn your focus on optimizing the pages for their respective search phrases. However, this only works if you have assigned a keyword for your pages. If not, move on to the next section of this SEO Powersuite review.
To do this, go to Content Analysis in the same tool.
Then go to Page Audit and add your page and its target keyword.
You’ll have to wait for a few minutes for the tool to complete the analysis of your page optimization score.
Check for errors and warnings in the page and make the necessary changes to eliminate them once you scan the page again.
You can test the changes using Content Editor.
To help further optimize your content, the TF-IDF feature shows you the words and phrases you’re using in the page. The goal is to add or reduce words in relation to your target keyword.
The goal is to mention words and phrases that your competitors on the first page of SERPs have on their content. This way, Google can associate your content with other high-ranking pages through the word you included.
Research for keywords
Keyword research is a pain in the ass if you don’t know where to begin. Thankfully, this “rank tracking” tool makes this process much easier than ever.
But before you begin, you need to create a project first before you can use the tool. The project you created in the tool doesn’t transfer across the different tools so you have to create the same project for each. This may be a nuisance at first, but you’ll get used to it once you’ve set up all your sites as projects.
From here, there are two ways you can research for unlimited number of keywords for your site using this tool.
The first is the traditional approach. This is where you plug in a seed keyword (topic or niche of your website) and let the software come up with keyword suggestions for you.
To do this, go to Keyword Planner. What it will do is draw ideas using Google Ads Keyword Planner.
From here, narrow down the results by finding those with the most monthly searches and lowest keyword difficulty. You can do that by filtering the results.
To expand your search, you can use the Autocomplete Tools and Related Searches. The former lets you use different search engines to come up with terms using their respective autocomplete features. The latter takes search suggestions from other SERP listings.
Personally, the Keyword Planner feature does the job for you. From there, you can find around 5-10 search terms and keyword ideas you can use to optimize your website.
Next, you may want to do competitor-based keyword research. From here, you will check the search terms that they are already ranking for and use them as part of your SEO strategy.
However, let’s assume that you don’t know who your competitors are for now. To start, go to Topic Competitors under Competitor Research. Then type your main keywords here.
From here, you can choose competitors you want to research based on the metrics for each column.
Another way to determine your competitors is by typing your domain on Domain Competitors.
It identifies competitors based on how many of your keyword intersect.
As useful as it sound, this feature only works if you have lots of pages ranking for your site. If not, then the tool won’t be able to identify your competitors.
Once you decided which are your closest competitors, type in their domain URL in the Ranking Keywords feature under Keyword Research.
If you want to see phrases that you aren’t ranking for you yet, enter your competitor’s domain URL in the Keyword Gap feature.
Right now, you’re seeing keywords that your competitor is ranking for but you aren’t. You can toggle the keyword results based on how you want to compare the sites relative to their keywords.
By employing different methods of keyword research, you should be able to find more than enough to optimize your site pages and upcoming content.
Creating SEO content briefs
If you’re running a content team and want them to write SEO-friendly content to help you rank for your target keywords, then SEO Powersuite is for you.
In particular, the software has features to help your writers create structured content guaranteed to rank on Google search.
Once you have a target keyword for your post, you should use Related Search to find similar keywords that you can use in your post.
From here, you can find keywords that you can use as subheaders in the article.
Next, you want to include questions that people ask on search engines. You can see that on the People Also Ask (PAA) featured snippet on SERPs.
You can simply grab questions from SERPs to include in your post. However, you have to manually open questions one by one to show more then choose which ones you want to feature. More importantly, you don’t know how many people are actually asking these questions every month.
The Related Questions makes the job easier for you.
You can also use Google’s Autocomplete feature from the tool to find additional questions.
Last, you want writers to create content that’s similar to the top-ranking pages for your target keyword. This way, by associating your content with the ones that are actually on the first page of SERPs, you can increase your chances to rank just as high.
The TF-IDF Explorer lets you find words and phrases that you need to add in the article before writing it.
Writing optimized content
Using its keyword research features, you can create SEO-friendly content based on the keywords and terms found by the tool.
However, doing these things manually can be time-consuming. Granted, they give you the best chance to rank for your target keyword with your content. However, there’s an easier way to research for your content that only requires you to click a few buttons!
Introducing the NEW Content Editor!
The Content Editor feature Auditor allows you to edit your content to increase its score as provided by the tool. By observing the checklist as provided to you in the tool, you can further increase the chances of your content to rank much better on SERPs.
However, the content audit feature only works if the page is already published on your site. For site owners who want to create content from scratch, they need to follow the steps I outlined above for creating content briefs.
Now, with the new and revamped Content Editor, you can automate your research and focus on creating better content.
If you want to analyze content that’s already published, you need to choose between the browser and document mode before edit it.
Next, you can edit the content directly from the tool. To help you improve the content, you need to follow the guidelines on the right such as which keywords to include (and how many time you need to include them), how many words you should include, and much more.
Now, you may want to send over the details on how to optimize the content to your writer. In this case, you can download a PDF that contains all the information he or she needs for writing the article.
As mentioned, you can do keyword analysis even if you don’t have content for it. Just leave the page blank and fill in the keyword you want to research. From here, you need to write your content just like you would in your document processor of choice.
But the best thing here is you can optimize your content using advanced variables that are presented in a way that’s but easy to understand!
The revamped version of the Content Editor positions itself as one of the best tools to create and edit your content based on the top pages ranking on SERPs for your keyword.
It is identical to tools like Surfer’s Content Editor and MarketMuse. But the advantage that SEO Powersuite has over it is you can run unlimited keywords and generated as many reports and briefs as you want.
Tracking keyword ranking
Once you have your SEO strategy in motion, you need to do keyword tracking to know how your site is performing on SERPs.
The Target Keywords make this process fairly easy.
Give the software a moment to gather the data and complete its rank checking. Then, you’ll get the complete picture of your keyword rankings:
You can get a better overview of your search rankings from the Ranking Summary.
Using the tool, you have the ability to track rankings any time you want. Ideally, you can set the tool to automatically update the rankings daily.
Once you have optimized the different on-page factors of your site, it’s link building time for your site.
From here, you start with SEO Spyglass.
If you’re working on an established site that launched backlink campaigns before, it’s best to perform a backlink profile analysis first.
From your backlink research, you should be able to see the best backlinks of the site.
To do this, go to Linking Domains to see sites with the highest Domain InLink score. From here, identify the backlinks and see if they’re nofollow or dofollow (ideally, they should be the latter).
Also, you want to see the pages with the most backlinks. In this case, Linked Pages has got you covered.
Next, you want to monitor the links that may be causing more harm than good on your site.
From here, you can create your disavow file based on the data provided.
To get a better understanding of a site’s backlink profile, you also need to look at its historical data.
Next, you should compare the site’s link profile based on its competitors. Again, refer to the competitors you researched from the keyword tool. If you share the same topic, there’s a good chance that you share the same target links as well.
You can go to Summary under Domain Comparison and enter your competitor’s domain URL there. You will then see an overview of the sites and highlights the winner for each category in green.
More importantly, you can see domain links that all sites share. You can also identify link prospects by looking at backlinks your competitors have and you don’t.
SEO Powersuite Price
A review is not complete without looking at its pricing!
With the features and options crammed into this tool, you’d expect it to be at the level of Ahrefs and SEMrush in terms of pricing.
However, I’m happy to report that SEO Powersuite is one of the most affordable search engine optimization tools in the market!
But before clicking on the Buy button, you need to learn more about the two paid plans of SEO Powersuite: Professional and Enterprise.
Both plans possess the same features save for a few.
The most crucial difference is the ability to export SEO reports with a click of a button. You can only do that with the Enterprise plan.
Granted, you can copy and paste data on a spreadsheet or document with the Professional plan. Still, it doesn’t provide the instant gratification of a one-click expert that the Enterprise plan offers.
That said, you don’t really need this particular feature if you’re working on your sites. You can simply save the data locally and access them later if you’re ready to work on them.
If you’re an SEO freelancer or have an agency, then the Enterprise plan is perfect for you. You can expert unlimited data from either software and send out beautiful one-click reports for clients to review.
Again, the price for either plan is very reasonable, if not cheap in the best way possible.
For at least $299/year ($24.92/month), you can generate unlimited SEO data about your site and competitors at will. For SEO agencies, they need to shell out more ($699/year or $58.25/month) to get white label and export features.
To keep using SEO Powersuite, you must renew your account within the year. Thus, you have to shell out the same amount every year.
Now, since SEO Powersuite has four separate tools bundled into one software, you probably want to buy them individually.
The great news is that’s also possible!
Each tool costs $124/year for Professional and $299/year for Enterprise.
This is only feasible if you like one tool out of the four. But I suggest that you buy the bundle so you can save much more and get to experience the power of SEO Powersuite.
Right now, you might hold off on buying a license and wait for SEO PowerSuite offers during the holiday sale to arrive.
However, that’s not how it works. Because it’s possible that they might not hold a sale this coming holiday or any upcoming holidays for that matter!
I suggest that if you really need this tool now, there’s no need for you to wait for something that might not happen.
But, just in case, I suggest that you sign up to my newsletter below so I’ll alert you if there is an upcoming discount sale for the tool.
SEO Powersuite Review: Pros and cons
As a desktop-based software, you can only use SEO PowerSuite from the computer where you installed the tools. Also, you save the files in your local drive (although there is an option to save some of your projects in the SEO PowerSuite Cloud).
While these sound like disadvantages of the tool, it has its perks.
For one, it’s much more affordable compared to premium SEO cloud tools without compromising its features.
That said, I won’t consider these factors against SEO PowerSuite. Instead, I’ll be criticial on what the software brings to the table.
Here are my honest thoughts about the software:
Pro: Very comprehensive keyword tool
The keyword research and rank tracking tool is hands down the best in this SEO suite.
It lets you track as many keywords as you want in a site and refresh the rankings at any given time of the day.
The Keyword Research feature allows you to extensively find keywords to rank for your website.
You can run the traditional approach by searching from Google Keyword Planner using the tool. It also lets you find questions that you can optimize in your article to help you rank for the People Also Ask snippet on search results.
When researching for competitor keywords, you can use the Keyword Gap feature to find keywords that other sites are ranking for but you aren’t.
Finally, when creating content, the TF-IDF feature allows you to determine words and phrases related to your main keyword to include in your article. This way, you write topically relevant content and increase its chances of ranking higher on organic search.
Con: Limited database
As great as SEO PowerSuite, sadly, it doesn’t offer a lot of data that you can sink your teeth into.
For instance, using the Ranking Keyword feature, here are the results when researching for neilpatel.com:
Now, compare that to the keyword data from Ahrefs for the same site:
I also extracted keyword data of the site using SE Ranking, which is a notch lower than Ahrefs in terms of being an SEO tool. Even then, SE Ranking produced more keyword data than SEO Powersuite:
Using SE Ranking to check the site’s backlinks, here’s what I got:
Here’s what I got using SEO Powersuite.
The results are virtually identical. This goes to say that SEO PowerSuite’s database contains decent information about a site’s backlink and ranking keywords. However, it’s not on the level of top-tier SEO tools in terms of data.
For comparison, here’s the historical data from Ahrefs of the site’s backlink:
Pro: Powerful filtering options
The most important thing about SEO tool is how it makes organizing data easier for you.
It doesn’t matter how much information you can unearth from an SEO software. What’s more crucial is finding the exact data you’re looking for.
In this case, SEO PowerSuite is one of the better ones in terms of filtering information from the thousands of results gathered by the tool.
For example, you can customize the data that appears on the interface by adding or removing factors to provide you with the information you want and need.
From the results, you can narrow down the results according to your specifications.
For example, I want to audit my site by showing pages that have errors that I need to fix.
Using the filters as much as you can allows you to go straight to the pages you need to see. This way, you can make the necessary changes on the pages to increase your SEO audit score.
All tools in SEO PowerSuite have this filter options to ensure that you can find the info fast. For Rank Tracker, you can show keywords with a maximum keyword difficulty of 30.
Con: Link Assistant needs improvement
If there’s a black mark on SEO PowerSuite, then it has to be the Link Assistant tool.
As an outreach tool, it does what you’d expect. It gives you the ability to search for prospects depending on the purpose of your outreach campaign.
From the tool, you can send the emails by writing one from scratch or using its templates.
Then, you can track the progress of the email and see if you met your desired goal for each campaign.
In theory, this tool is great especially bundled together with other SEO tools. It put your SEO strategy into full circle.
However, it’s a different story when you start using Link Assistant.
For starters, it’s extremely slow to load when you’re looking for prospects using the tool.
However, you need to remember that SEO PowerSuite is a desktop-based tool. So, the speed of your request depends on the specs of the computer or laptop you’re using and internet reliability.
It’s one thing to be slow but deliver the results. But Link Assistant misses the mark here as well.
Scraping emails using third-party tools is always a hit or miss. However, in the case of LinkAssistant, at least find the email of the actual domain.
Finally, the mail template.
You can choose from its pre-formatted templates to send out to your prospect.
But looking at the templates, it’s best to write one form the ground up instead.
In the end, LinkAssistant feels uninspired and lazy. It barely meets the standards set by the other three tools of SEO PowerSuite that it ultimately drags the entire suite down a bit for me.
Pro: Unlimited everything
The biggest caveat among SEO tools is the limits. For example, you can only search for keywords a certain number of times in a day. So, if you’re deep into keyword suggestions for a client, you have to stagger your research day by day to maximize your current plan.
This makes you less efficient because you have to wait for your credits to reset before you can research again.
One can make the argument that you should simply buy the higher plan with more credits. However, that becomes a problem if you can’t afford the monthly costs, i.e. almost $100 for Ahrefs and SEMrush.
That said, you won’t have that problem with SEO Powersuite.
Whether you purchased the Professional or Enterprise plan, you can create as many projects as you want and search for as many keywords and competitors as you need.
This is ideal for SEO agencies working with clients big or small. There won’t be any problems taking up clients because you can manage the projects using SEO Powersuite.
As good as SEO PowerSuite is, there are other tools that’s comparable to this SEO software. Some share similar features that could be better or worse, depending on what your need is from it. Nonetheless, it’s best to take a look and see what SEO PowerSuite is up against.
To check out all SEO Powersuite alternatives, click here.
SEMrush, for all intents and purposes, is like the cloud version of SEO PowerSuite. You can generate keyword ideas, research your competitor’s SEO strategy, and create content that Google loves using SEMrush. The only caveat is its price – its annual price is 4x-5x more expensive than SEO PowerSuite. Still, you can’t go wrong with SEMrush if you’re looking for the complete online marketing toolset.
At $99/month, Ahrefs is one of the more expensive SEO and link building tools in the market. However, its features and usability more than compensate for the costs. Its powerful filtering features, not to mention its massive backlink, content, and keyword database, are arguably the best in the industry, this providing you with the best information for your research.
Moz Pro was once one of the top SEO tools available. It remains to have one of the most dependable keyword research and solid backlink data. But with its lowest price at $99/month, Moz Pro isn’t the most affordable out there. However, for the things that it can do, Moz Pro does it pretty well.
WebCEO is the closest competitor that SEO Powersuite has as far as desktop-based SEO tools are concerned. While WebCEO is marketed towards SEO agencies, it has features that non-agency owners will enjoy such as keyword research, competitor research, and more.

How do I start SEO?
Once you have a website up, you need to audit your website first by identifying on-page factors that some of your pages missing. SEO PowerSuite’s site audit tool makes this job easier for you as it audits your site for issues and determines how optimized your pages are for its keyword.

The cost for SEO depends on a wide variety of factors. However, the cost boils down on how effective your SEO strategy is. However, you can cut cost if you know your way around SEO and use a tool like SEO PowerSuite.
SEO POWERSUITE REVIEW: VERDICT
SEO PowerSuite is one of the most complete SEO software I’ve used, cloud or desktop-based, that can help you create an SEO campaign for any site.
Rank Tracker is arguably the best keyword research tool I’ve tried out so far. It makes identifying keywords to optimize a breeze using different ways to unearth them. Plus, you can track as many keywords as you want on which device and country. This way, you have a full view of your site’s SEO performance.
The Website Auditor is another fine tool on its own. It is more than capable to provide you with SEO audit information that you could easily put into action and improve your site’s crawlability. Also, it has a Content Editor that shows you how much more can you optimize your site pages. Not to mention, the TF-IDF feature helps you fill in the gaps of topics and terms that you should cover in your content.
I’m not much into link building, but I can see the use cases for SEO Spyglass. It’s a great tool to help you understand your and your competitor’s backlink data and analyze the strategy in play. You can also identify risky links you have and decide whether or not to disavow them. Finally, you can compare backlink profiles of multiple sites at once so you can see how your strategy measures up to others.
Last and definitely the least, LinkAssistant has a long way to go in terms of being useful. The prospecting feature is rough and the data it provides are not the best. The templates, for a lack of a better term, sucks. And it’s generally such a bulky tool that you’re better off using another outreach tool. Hopefully, SEO PowerSuite makes the necessary changes to improve its features.
Regardless, I still highly recommend the software. For site owners, the Professional plan is good enough to give them the necessary information on how their site is faring on organic search. Agencies will find the Enterprise plan very useful – it takes away the frustration of limited credits from cloud-based tasks. Not to mention, they can generate reports and export data in just a click of a mouse.
